The hemispheres that mask the moon, and hence show the phases are blank. 6 feet 6 inches high, having been shortened by lowering the trunk into the pedestal base. Face flanked by fluted columns in dark wood. Ornaments on top are solid brass balls and a spread eagle, but are not original.
